This past weekend, members of the Revolar team traveled to D.C. to take part in the Women’s March on Washington. We joined the march because we believe that everyone has the right to feel safe while they’re peacefully making their voice heard, and that technology can be a catalyst for bridging that gap between wanting to feel safe and actually feeling safe.
We came away with memories of a rare and beautiful day of peace and camaraderie, but also newfound motivation to keep moving forward, speaking up, and showing solidarity and support for those who feel threatened or marginalized.
Amazingly, what we were able to be a part of what was the largest day of demonstrations in U.S. history with hundreds of sister marches taking place across the U.S. and every continent on earth.
Aside from the massive size and scale of the demonstration, it was the energy, positivity, and inclusiveness of the march that made it a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. From survivors of sexual assault to LGBTQ rights activists to dads marching with their daughters in support of their rights, those attending ran the gamut of humanity in every way, shape, and form.
We feel extremely lucky to have been a part of this history, and we look forward to being active, positive participants in our communities in the weeks, months, and years to come.
